Comprehensive Plan Updates
The Apalachicola City Commission will hold the second in a series of public workshops at 3 pm on Tuesday, March 7, to discuss preliminary review findings of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The review is being funded through a 2022 DEO Community Planning Technical Assistance Grant and is intended to compare and present recommended changes to the City’s plan based on statutory requirements that have gone into effect since the last time the City updated its plan in 2013.
The March 7 workshop will be facilitated by planning consultant Cynthia Clark and will include additional recommendations not covered in the February 7 workshop. Among other topics, the upcoming workshop will outline recommended policy changes to update the City’s funding request priorities and infrastructure initiatives in coordination with an ongoing legislative request program.
The March 7 workshop is the second in a series of public workshops on the comprehensive plan and will be held at the Apalachicola Community Center. A third workshop with the City Planning and Zoning Board is scheduled for 5:30 pm, March 13.
